Sellar makes money in two ways:

1) Suppliers pay a monthly subscription for Sellar Lists, our smart availability list that cuts down admin and increases sales from your trade customers.

2) Suppliers pay a one-time Opening Order Fee when we successfully introduce them to a new trade customer through the Sellar Market. This fee is a fraction of the typical cost involved in acquiring new trade customers.

Your Sellar Lists price plan is based on the number of customers in your Sellar Customer List.

When considering which Customers to add to your Sellar account, we would suggest importing trade customers that have ordered within the last 6 months as an accurate representation of ‘active’ customers.

Yes, you can add and remove customers from your Sellar Customer List at any time.

When managing your Customer List, please bear the ‘Negotiated Terms’ Rule in mind.

Yes. You must have a subscription to Sellar Lists to be able to access both Sellar Shipping and the Sellar Market. However, using Sellar Shipping and the Sellar Market is optional.

By using Sellar Lists, you’re able to opt-in to Sellar Market. This makes your products searchable across a wide catalogue of real-time product info from the best craft breweries across the UK. It’s better because trade buyers can access your full range of products, you’re in control of how it gets there, and trade buyers get your actual direct pricing which means more margin for you and a better price for your customers.

The Opening Order Fee is a one-time finders fee for successfully introducing you to a new customer.

It’s calculated as 15% of the Opening Order of a New Customer that’s found you through the Sellar Market.

For example, if a new customer placed a £200 order (ex VAT), the Opening Order Fee would be (£200 x 15% =) £30

The minimum Opening Order Fee is £5.

Invoices are sent weekly, billed on Saturday.

The Opening Order Fee does not apply when:

- The customer places their first order with you through any of your Sellar links

- The customer is already in your Sellar Customer List

To avoid being charged Opening Order Fees on existing customers, make sure they are correctly setup in your Sellar Customer List.

To avoid being charged Opening Order Fees on prospective customers that you acquire, make sure you’re using your Sellar links in all the right places.

If you’d rather not be discoverable by new customers on the Sellar Market, you can avoid any fees altogether by opting out. To opt-out please let your account manager know and we can switch this off for you.

In anticipation for the launch of Sellar Market (and opening order fees), we’ve built a system to monitor when a customer - who isn’t on your Sellar customer list - places an order with you after accessing one your Sellar Links.

Any link you obtain from Sellar will contain a smart token. This is a short code at the end of the URL. If a customer accesses one of these links and, within 28 days, places a first-time order with you on Sellar, we will attribute the acquisition of that customer to you.

Therefore, these orders will not be subject to an opening order fee.

Yes. as the name suggests, the Opening Order fee only applies to the value of the first order of a New Customer relationship that Sellar has successfully introduced.

This adds the customer to your Customer List and they are now considered your customer. As they are now in your Customer List, no further fees would apply to orders moving forwards.
